Power Distribution Cabinet (General-purpose Power Distribution Cabinet)

Power Distribution Cabinet (General-purpose Power Distribution Cabinet)

A distribution cabinet is a versatile electrical device designed for power distribution, control, and protection. Unlike the previously introduced high-voltage and low-voltage cabinets, it is tailored for simpler distribution needs in medium and low-voltage scenarios (such as 220V/380V). It is widely used in small factories, shops, residential complexes, outdoor temporary power supply, and other similar settings. Its core advantages include:

• Flexible Power Distribution Configuration: Components such as circuit breakers, residual current devices (RCDs), contactors, and energy meters can be configured according to load requirements. It supports single-circuit or multi-circuit distribution (e.g., 3–12 circuits), adapting to diverse power needs (e.g., lighting circuits, air conditioning circuits, and socket circuits in shop distribution cabinets).

• Comprehensive Safety Protection: Provides overload protection (circuit breaker tripping), leakage protection (RCD operating current ≤30mA), and short-circuit protection. In cases of overload, leakage, or short-circuit, it quickly cuts off power to prevent electrical fires and electric shock accidents. Additionally, the cabinet is equipped with grounding terminals to ensure reliable equipment grounding.

• Convenient Installation and Maintenance: The cabinet features an open or semi-enclosed design, offering ample internal wiring space and clearly marked component installation positions, making it easy for electricians to wire and maintain. The cabinet door includes a transparent viewing window, allowing visual inspection of internal components (e.g., meter readings, circuit breaker status) without opening the door.

• Strong Environmental Adaptability: Outdoor distribution cabinets are designed with IP65 protection, equipped with rain hoods and sealing strips to prevent water ingress. Indoor cabinets use IP30 protection, suitable for dry and low-dust environments. Cabinet materials can be selected from cold-rolled steel (powder-coated) or stainless steel to suit different corrosive conditions.
