Northern Huajin Project Overview

The Northern Huajin United Petrochemical Project primarily comprises a 15 million tonne per annum refinery, a 1.65 million tonne per annum ethylene plant, and a 2 million tonne per annum paraxylene facility, among others. Its production processes generate substantial volumes of low-temperature hot water. The project employs ORC low-temperature waste heat power generation units to replace the original air-cooling system. This reduces 6,400 tonnes per hour of 95°C hot water to 80°C while simultaneously decreasing investment in air-cooling infrastructure and energy consumption. The total installed power generation capacity is designed at 8 MW.
