Overview of the Zhuhai China Resources Project

Zhuhai China Resources Chemical Esterification Steam Low-Temperature Waste Heat Power Generation Project primarily recovers waste heat from esterification steam generated by polyester production units. The esterification steam (mixed steam) from two polyester projects is designed with an absolute pressure of 110 kPa and a temperature of approximately 100.3°C. At 100% production capacity, the mixed steam flow rate is 15.7 tonnes per hour (comprising 95% water and 5% other chemical substances). The atmospheric esterification steam is directly fed into a centrifugal ORC unit for power generation, with the condensate temperature designed to decrease from 100.3°C to 78°C under operating conditions.
